Thornwood's next event is Sunday September 12th! This will be the last Round of the NYS Outlaw MX Series, thus your last chance to get those points you need to round out the season!
On Saturday September 11th we will kick off our 3rd annual Tater-fest! This highly anticipated weekend will kick off with a pig roast on Saturday evening hosted by Robert Prockup #390. Bob did a great job last year and the food went fast! We are looking to get a larger pig this year. Along with that we will have fresh baked spuds available cooked over an open fire. If anyone wishes to bring a dish or dessert it is greatly appreciated! Did I mention this is all FREE?
Also on Saturday night we will have our 3rd annual bicycle race around the track. The winner of the race will receive a free class sign up for Sundays race or a 2010 Thornwood MX T shirt! Any non-motorized bicycle is allowed and this is FREE to participate in!
On Sunday we will be POWERED BY POTATOES as we host the final Round of the 2010 Outlaw Series with a $2000 expert purse going towards the Lites and Open MX Expert classes!! Thats big money right there folks. These racers will have to earn their share of the cash through Two 15 minute + 2 lap motos! lets see who can hold their pace! The expert purse is being sponsored by Hopkinson Farms! Make sure to get your fill on potatoes Saturday night as they hold a huge amount of potassium! Also on Sunday we will have FREE salt potatoes all day long!!
We hope to see everyone @ Thornwood MX September 11th and 12th! Gate will be open Saturday at 3pm until 11pm. Sunday at 7am. Sign-up Saturday 6:30-8 and Sunday 7-9am. Practice will begin @ 8:45am sharp!
Just a heads up also on Sunday September 19th we will host the first round of the 2010 East/West Shootout as we team up with WNYMA for a joint race with the AMRA! There will be a Saturday open practice on the 18th from 10-2.
